11th November 2022

Hello everyone

My name is Miss Fieldhouse and I am currently the Year 1 teacher. As a new member at St. Clement’s, I am really enjoying working here as the staff, children and parents have all made me feel very welcome.

We love our brand new classroom and we have been busy decorating our display boards with our topic work. We also have a revamped playground and new facilities we share with Year 2. Year 1 have been working hard, and have settled in really well. We are covering lots of exciting topics and in history one of our highlights has been learning about dinosaurs. We are all eagerly waiting for our dinosaur egg to hatch!

This week we will looked at Remembrance Day. It is a very special day where we remember all those who have given their lives in service for their country and to say thank you for what they did. We made poppies and wreaths in our arts and crafts lesson and took part in the 2 minutes silence this morning. Thank you to everyone for their donations to the Poppy Appeal over the last few weeks.

Going forward, I am looking forward to continuing working with the children as we come to the end of a busy term and prepare for Christmas. We are all excited to and can’t wait to show you our Christmas Nativity performance - we hope to see you there!
