22nd November 2019

Hi Everyone,

Those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mrs Akhtar and I am a Teaching Assistant in year 2.  I have worked at St Clements’s for many years now and I am still amazed by the beautiful smiles that greet me in the mornings.

In Year 2 we have been learning about pirates and we have been exploring our topic question ‘why boats float?’  The children are enjoying this topic and it is lovely to see them enthusiastic and excited in the mornings when they come in.

Please can you do all that you can to make sure children are in school every day and hearing them read a little every evening.  We are always willing to provide support and suggestions as to what you can do at home to support your child’s learning.

We are halfway through November and the weather is getting colder and at times wet. Can you please make sure children have warm clothing to wear outside during lunchtimes and playtimes. Please also make sure to write their names inside clothing to stop them from going into lost property.

Wrap up warm and have a
 lovely weekend.
