"The assembly hall of St. Clement’s C of E Primary School in Nechells has been decorated with the themes of Creation, words of scripture and imaginative images of children in the world. Most of the pupils in the school are Muslims, as is the artist. There is a striking painting of a giraffe, patterned with the global map, standing beside a large wooden cross. The most visible written word is joy.

This school is a shining example in inner city Birmingham of the Church’s provision
for wider communities providing good all round education in the context of faith."
