3rd March 2023

Yesterday for World Book Day the children and staff came to school in pyjamas, to show the importance of bedtime stories. Each class enjoyed story time in the afternoon with hot chocolate and cookies.

This was a nice way to end the day after everyone had already had a fun-filled morning spending time celebrating the joys of reading for pleasure. Children took part in a range of reading activities, including online author talks, creating reading rivers to remember their favourite stories and performing poetry.

Hopefully children are now excited to spend their World Book Day token at the weekend and receive their own book to enjoy.
