Dear Parent

Re: Consultation on the Government minimum expectation on length of the school week

As you may be aware in March the Government published a mandatory change for schools to ensure they deliver 32.5 hours of education to pupils as a minimum expectation. This requirement is to take place from September 2022.

Our school will need to change the opening hours to pupils. The school day is set out below:

We are undertaking a consultation on these changes to hours. I appreciate that these changes may affect you, in terms of childcare or working arrangements. Therefore, I would like to invite you to give your feedback by writing to myself with any points you wish to be taken into consideration as part of the consultation before Monday 23rd May 2022.

Following the period of consultation I will confirm the revised opening hours by Friday 27th May 2022.

I appreciate your support to help us meet this statutory requirement.

Yours sincerely

D.Shryane - Headteacher
