Year 3 trip to Sarehole Mill Museum

10th September 2015

Today Green Class went to Sarehole Mill and took part in a Prehistoric Discovery Day. We travelled back in time to when people had to hunt for their food, build shelters to live, collect wood to build a fire to just survive. We handled artefacts found locally from Prehistoric times and explored Moseley Bog where evidence of Stone Age life had been found.

During the afternoon, Green class made their own paint and paint brushes from natural materials to create their own cave paintings. The most important fact we found out was that Stone Age people could not write so it’s very difficult to actually know what life was like one million years ago!
