Potential Snow Day Closure

18th January 2023
Letter Sent to Parents

Dear Parent’s and carers,

As the weather is turning colder, the chances of snow is increasing as we saw at the start of today.  We will do everything in our power to keep the school open, however sometimes, due to safety reasons, this may not be possible. Keep an eye on the school website to check if you are unsure. We will announce any closure on there and on our social media sites.

In case of possible closure due to snow, please find a timetable for your child’s remote learning attached to this letter. Obviously we would hope to only ever be closed for one day but we have completed a timetable for all possibilities.

Children will have necessary logins on a book mark in their book bags for TEAMS, TT Rockstars and Reading Plus. Most of the lessons on day one are self-directed and children may have some worksheets in a plastic wallet to help them carry these activities out.

Teachers will plan and present lessons from day 2 onwards. They will be available on Teams from the first day of closure to help and support the children’s learning immediately. If all else fails, reading is the most important skill you and your child can practice together at home.

Thank you

Miss Shryane
