The Anchor News - 14th July 2022

1st July 2022

Hello everyone,

My name is Mrs Sidhu and I am the learning mentor at St. Clement's Academy. I also work in year 5 alongside Mrs Price, and it has been a great year!

This term, Year 5 have been working very hard and enjoyed learning all about mysteries. We have researched well known mysteries such as Bigfoot and Supernatural Beings. We have asked questions to find out more and evaluated all of the evidence to make our own minds up. We are all now trained detectives! We have also enjoyed some exciting visits such as exploring the rainforest plants and animals at The Botanical Gardens and being adventurous at Woodlands.

It's hard to believe we are almost at the end of our academic year. As we come to our final week there are still important dates to keep in mind, Tomorrow, Friday 15th July, is our summer fair. Please come join us and have some fun! You can pick up your children from 1pm so that you can enjoy the fair together. You can find more information on the inside of the newsletter.

Next week Monday, the children will find out who their teachers are next year. On Tuesday Year 6 will be performing their leavers play “Cinderella and Rockerfella”, followed by their Graduation. And finally Thursday will be our last day of term, where we say goodbye to everyone for the summer. I’m sure you all can’t wait!

The forecast for this coming weekend/week will be very hot so please keep hydrated and make sure children are protected in the sun by wearing sunblock and sun hats.

Keep safe and have a lovely weekend.
