29th April 2016

Hello Everyone,

My name is Miss Akers and I am part of the SEN and pastoral team at St. Clement’s. I also work alongside the School Council in making decisions and choices to further benefit the school and pupils. Over the last half term, the school council have been focusing on safety. Working alongside Trevor Billingham, the children are aiming to have speed bumps installed along Butlin Street. They hope this will make a difference not only to the pupils of St. Clement’s, but to the Nechells community as a whole. To help them in their efforts please sign our petition. You can do this by speaking to Trevor Billingham or myself.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the ‘Parent Coffee Mornings’. These sessions are held by Mrs Dowling and the parent committee, in the Community Room, on Wednesday mornings at 9 am. Come along and share ideas with other parents, take part in fundraising activities and enjoy a nice warm drink and a friendly chat!

Next week in school, Year 5 are off to the Butterfly Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon, as part of their Mini-beasts topic and on Wednesday 4th May the school photographer will be in, taking class photos.

I wish you all an enjoyable bank holiday weekend. Stay safe and we will see you all at 8:45 am on Tuesday 3rd May.
