Year 4 trip to Singers Hill Synagogue

7th October 2015

On Wednesday, Year 4 visited Singers Hill synagogue as part of our RE work on Judaism. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by a member of the synagogue who spoke to us about Jewish artefacts and symbols.

We were very lucky to be able to enter the beautiful prayer room and handle the Torah scrolls and yad. We were even able to wear kippurs and tallits, just as members of the synagogue would during a service.

The whole morning was filled with interesting facts and we all learnt something new about Judaism.
