I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible this evening at our Meet the Teacher open afternoon. The teachers are looking forward to letting you know how well your child has settled into the new school year and you can ask any questions you want.
Since Mrs Payne left I have taken over as Senco in school and I am working my way through the records of those pupils we feel need a little extra support through our Special needs provision so that I can prepare to meet you and discuss a way forward for this year. I will be writing to parents and carers to invite them in for a meeting—please look out for a letter and let me know if the time I have given you isn’t convenient so that I can make sure you can attend and be fully involved in discussions about your child’s education. We want every child at St Clement’s to make excellent progress this year and working together we can achieve this!
Have a good extended weekend—see you all on Monday!
Sue Simmons, Principal.
DON'T FORGET: Important date for your diary:
Friday 19th September—THE SCHOOL IS CLOSED FOR A STAFF TRAINING DAY.
Because St. Clement’s is a Church of England Academy, as well as having Ofsted Inspections, we also have inspections by the Church of England. As we are expecting an inspection some time this term we want to prepare for this and make sure that we are at least good, if not outstanding, when we have our inspection. We are sorry this is so early in the term and if it causes you any inconvenience.
